Trump has suggested that Canada become the 51st state in our union. Does that mean that we can adopt the Canadian health care system and guarantee health care to all, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and spend 50% less per capita on health care? I'm all for it.
--Bernie Sanders
Canadians know they are on a good wicket as they look south.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, they may be watching a country about to fall off a cliff.
DeleteBernie Sanders makes sense!
ReplyDeleteAlways, Mitchell.
DeleteOver my dead body, we don’t want trumpy
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, can I assume your Canadian?
DeleteAnd what about our strict gun control laws? Those come as part of the package deal too.
ReplyDeleteOh, Debra, I'm sure Bernie would welcome that. For that matter, so would I!
DeleteTake that, Debra! --Jim
ReplyDeleteTake what, Jim?
DeleteI have not been paying attention to your politics of late Kirk. I knew he won, but that's about it. To be fair, I have switched off to Scottish and UK politics too!
ReplyDeleteAnanka, I know you don't like these political posts, but it's part of my worldview, and I can't avoid them.
DeleteIt is always interesting to read them Kirk. But I never know what to say and don't want you to think I am ignoring you!
DeleteSo many people over in Scotland are so against the Scottish Government, they have destroyed our beautiful country. Then there was the whole bitching session with Elon Musk and Yousaf Humza recently. Yousaf was our First Minister for a while and totally screwed things up :-(
I understand, Ananka. I try hard to make this blog about any one thing, because life itself is not about any one thing!
DeleteDid not know Musk was stirring up trouble in Scotland. I thought he only did that here.
I like Bernie.
ReplyDeleteSo do I, Mike.
DeleteWouldn't that be interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting, Lux, but I doubt if the Canucks would go for it.
DeleteNot sure the Canadians would be quite so keen these days, although who knows?
ReplyDeleteJenny, they may end up building a wall on the border.
