I remember falling in love with Leonard Whiting (or maybe it was just his butt). Olivia Hussey was a great actress with some curious inconsistencies in her story telling.
Andrew, her most famous role is that of Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 film version of Romeo and Juliet. In addition, she played the Virgin Mary in Zeffirelli's 1977 mini-series Jesus of Nazareth. In between those two elegant films, she also appeared in the less-than-elegant early slasher classic, 1974's Black Christmas, in which she played a sorority sister whose plans for the holiday are, to say the least, dashed.
In order to keep the hucksters, humbugs, scoundrels, psychos, morons, and last but not least, artificial intelligentsia at bay, I have decided to turn on comment moderation. On the plus side, I've gotten rid of the word verification.

ReplyDeleteMitchell, are you referring to a recent lawsuit, in which, among other things, Mr. Whiting's butt does come under scrutiny?
DeleteWhile I don't know of her, she was very attractive.

DeleteOh, I hadn't heard she died. RIP. Boy, that movie was a mega-blockbuster in its time.
ReplyDeleteA version of Shakespeare that capitalized on the baby-boom, Debra.
