Quips and Quotations (Nowhere to Go but Up Edition)

...the perception of the song's meaning got a little bit changed for a lot of people. It's a very spiritual song. 'Dream Weaver' is really a song whose lyrical content is about the consciousness of the Universe: God moving us through the night – delusion and suffering – into the Higher Realms

  1. A lot of talent. He had a long life but it's a tragic way to go. I never did get Wayne's World.

    1. Mitchell, you had to have gone to high school in 1970s and 1980s, and even a bit into the 1990s, or been around people like that at the time, to really get that movie (and the SNL skits that preceded it.) As exaggerated as the going-ons in that movie are, Wayne and Garth themselves were pretty realistic, representatives of a certain time and place in American suburban adolescent history.

In order to keep the hucksters, humbugs, scoundrels, psychos, morons, and last but not least, artificial intelligentsia at bay, I have decided to turn on comment moderation. On the plus side, I've gotten rid of the word verification.
