As If!



So what's going on here? Well, it's obvious. Mary Poppin's umbrella is in the shop, and Alicia Silverstone has decided to give her a lift to the Banks residence. Just kidding. While that is indeed Alicia on the left, on the right it's not Mary but thrift store punk-attired filmmaker, and, today, birthday girl Amy Heckerling (she's about 41 in the above picture. Keep reading and then do the math if you must know her current age.) With the able assistance of Silverstone, the late Brittany Murphy, future (now former) Fox News starlet Stacy Dash, and Paul Rudd, Heckerling conducted an extensive 1995 anthropological study of the social mores, mating rituals, and, most memorably, structural linguistics of adoloscent members of a Beverly Hills tribe:
