Hello Kirk, The problem is that even if our candidates prevail in this election, how could the even be such a close one? Are there really that many vicious, stupid, self-interested people out there? What used to be called the lunatic fringe? Apparently so, and my faith in the majority of people has been shattered. . Here's hoping that enough people come to their senses and/or were good to begin with. --Jim
Certainly a big day for you guys over there. Just a regular 5th of November over here. We have Guy Fawkes in the whole of the UK on the 5th, so there will be lots of Fireworks going off over here tonight!
Are you gonna do a tribute to Quincy Jones? I was sad to hear of his passing but 91 is a good age. RIP.
In order to keep the hucksters, humbugs, scoundrels, psychos, morons, and last but not least, artificial intelligentsia at bay, I have decided to turn on comment moderation. On the plus side, I've gotten rid of the word verification.
I was never so stressed waiting for results.
ReplyDeleteI've been having to count to ten, Mitchell.
DeleteMy fingers are crossed for common sense to prevail. Surely you can't vote for ....
ReplyDeleteSurely that rhetorical "you", Andrew. There no ....vote from me.

Jim, it's not the majority of people, but the majority of the Electoral College that's got me worried. Remember, the two sometimes diverge.
DeleteLet's hope it all turns out well.
ReplyDeleteAll that can be done at this point, Debra.
DeleteAlready mailed in.
ReplyDeleteSo is mine, Mike.

Ananka, I haven't made up my mind what post I'm going to do next. For now I'll just say Quincy Jones RIP.
DeleteI was on vacation but the news was following me around for sure.
ReplyDeleteMy new post is about shaking it off, Lux.
DeleteOh well. I did cast my vote.
