All the leaves are brown (all the leaves are brown)
And the sky is grey (and the sky is grey)
I've been for a walk (I've been for a walk)
On a winter's day (on a winter's day)
I'd be safe and warm (I'd be safe and warm)
If I was in--Huh?
Never mind.
The City of Angels.
The night before tonight it was reported here by our media that there was heavy snow in Portland, with cars bumping into each other. Tonight it was reported that LA is covered in snow and cars are bumping into each other. Surely there isn't snow in San Francisco, with cars bumping into each other?
ReplyDeleteAndrew, San Francisco--which is 382 miles north of LA-- did get snow, too.
DeleteNow they know how the other half lives, LOL!
ReplyDeleteDebra, they'll probably turn it into a made-for-TV movie.
DeleteSeems it never rains in southern California
ReplyDeleteSeems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl, don't they warn ya?
It pours, man, it pours
Hi, Kirk!
Shirley, planet earth has left its orbit and is hurtling into deep space. Either that, or we can blame the SoCal snow on Biden's failed policies. (I stubbed my toe the other day and blamed Biden's failed policies.)
Those last two pictures reveal that people, and especially children, are making the most of it and having fun while they endure massive power outages and highway closures. Here in Florida, my nose is pressed against the window and I search the sky day and night...
Wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'... plannin' and dreamin' about a snowstorm that never comes. For me and millions of other kids in the Spring Breaker state, it's back to school tomorrow. (If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend the 2012 film Spring Breakers starring James Franco and Selena Gomez.)
Have a safe and happy week, good buddy Kirk!
Spring break in February, Shady? I figured it would be closer to Easter.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe, isn’t it? No wildfires, but mud and rock slides.
ReplyDeleteMitchell, I wonder if they even knew what mud was up until now.
DeleteI'll take the selfish viewpoint--as long as the snow avoids Cleveland and Taipei, I'm set. --Jim
ReplyDeleteJim, I don't know about Taipei, but it's been a mild winter here in C-town.
