RIP. She aged v. beautifully in some recent stuff, so quite surprising. She absolutely shined though opposite Al Pacino in The Godfather. A bit sad to hear of her passing.
Gosh, I haven't seen those movies in a while now kirk. Although they are classics, I can't say I enjoy them, all the lying, and cheating. I remember the bare-faced way he lied to his wife at the end about turning a new leaf, and she believed him because she loved him.
I checked out your blog. I enjoyed looking at all the dresses, but I'm afraid I don't see a "follower" thingy anywhere. I'll leave a comment if that's what you're looking for.
In order to keep the hucksters, humbugs, scoundrels, psychos, morons, and last but not least, artificial intelligentsia at bay, I have decided to turn on comment moderation. On the plus side, I've gotten rid of the word verification.
RIP Diane

DeleteGreat quote - something we would all do well to heed. Mediocrity seems far too common of late.
ReplyDeleteDavid, Diane wouldn't have fit in very well in Washington D.C. these days.
DeleteDear Kirk,
ReplyDeleteA most intriguing tribute to this fine actress.
She never did find "the freedom to be uninteresting" but many many actors manage to do so....unfortunately.
Jane and Lance, what's another word for uninteresting? Maybe...typecasting?
DeleteHi, very nice blog, I am new here. I follow you 67, maybe follow back?
