There's always more or less than meets the eye
I've always loved this.
Since you recognize the quote, Mitchell, I hope you'll also recognize the author, Stephen Crane, whose own existence I forgot to mention when I first post this (a mistake I've now rectified.)
Hi, Kirk!I always thought the universe is a woman. :) My method, tried-and-true, is to pound sand and bark at the moon.Have a great weekend, good buddy Kirk!
Shady, the universe is actually non-binary, but back in 1899, when this poem was written, they were forced to identify with one gender or the other.I believe pounding sand and barking at the moon is protected by the First Amendment.
Oh, and Shady, since you commented before I made the change, the quote is from Stephen Crane.
I like this!
I'm glad you do, Debra, and, since it what left out when you first read this, the quote is from Stephen Crane.
We are just on a blue marble around an average spot of light.
Stand (or float) far enough away, Adam, and the entire Milky Way is an average spot of light.
