Following Update

I'd like to welcome Pappy of Pappy's Golden Age Comics.

Fans of comic art (or non-fans who need to be converted) should check out his fine site on my "List of Blogs", along with Hairy Green Eyeball II and Stripper's Guide.

And, in case you comic fans out there are curious, in spite of my last name and the fact that my pipe dream, er, profile, reads "writer/cartoonist", I am no relation to the popular cartoonist Joe Jusko.

However, if he wants to leave me something in his will anyway, I won't complain.

  3. @Hill--Thanks, Hill. One of these days I'm going to leave more than a single comment on your blog and really get involved in the conversation. I just can't do it right now as I don't have access to a computer at that time of night.

@Limes--It's funny you say that, Limes. When I first started this blog, I didn't even have the follower gadget switched on. Then on day I went to my "dashboard" and saw a picture of Akeru Megundai with a request to be my follower. I actually sat on that request for about a week. This blog is modeled more or less after the type of newspaper column that Mike Royko wrote back in the '70s, or perhaps the kind Maureen dowd does now. Royko or Dowd didn't have pictures at the bottom of their columns, so why should I. But then I thought, it's kind of nice to know I'm not just talking to myself online. So I switched that follower gadget back and haven't looked back. In the unlikely event I start getting hundredsof new followers a week, I'll probably stop "welcoming" them. For now, and probably for a very long time, it's manageable.

By the way, I didn't get the idea of welcoming followers until after Akeru and Tag were already on board. I'll make it up to them now: WELCOME AKERU AND TAG!

  4. @Erin--Hi, Erin. At least three of these followers, maybe more, found there way to my blog through your blog, so thanks.

I believe Tag found his way to your blog through mine, so I owe you two more.
